PERSONAL TAXATION AND TAX CREDITS FOR MONEY ADVISERS

Who the course is for: Money Advisers and Generalist Advisers who wish to refresh their knowledge of personal taxation and the tax credit system. This course will be available from June 2002

Aims:

  • To provide an overview of the personal taxation system, including tax codes and allowances
  • To provide and overview of the tax credit system, including a look at Working Families' Tax Credit and Children's Tax Credit

Course Content:

  • Personal Taxation; tax codes and personal allowances
  • WFTC and how it is calculated
    DPTC and how it is calculated
    CTC and how it is calculated
  • Points to Watch; advising a client who is considering a change of lifestyle/income in the contaxt of tax codes, allowances and credits ie. "Should I Take The Job?" case studies
