DEBT AND SOCIAL WELFARE I

Who the course is for: This course is designed to provide a fresh perspective on issues of social exclusion and how they relate to debt advice. A basic working knowledge of debt advice is assumed for this course and is designed on the assumption that trainees will attend on Debt and Social Welfare II.

Aims:

  • To explore the process of social exclusion and its relation to advice work
  • To investigate powers of central and local government to alleviate exclusion
  • To examine different strategies for assisting indebted families with children
