Who the course is for:
Advisers with some basic knowledge of mortgages and negotiating
arrears who want to provide detailed advice on clients' options
for dealing with possession proceedings, eviction orders and
mortgage shortfall situations.

Aims:
To enable participants to
- Advise on mortgage possession procedure in the County Court
- Provide options to clients with possession orders
- Assist clients after eviction
Course Content:
The course will include:
- Court procedure including completion of N11M and identification of possible defences
- Court's powers under the Administration of Justice Acts 1970 and 1973 and the Consumer Credit Act 1974
- Mortgage shortfall
- Possible defences to possession claims
