COUNTY COURT MODULE I MONEY CLAIMS IN THE COUNTY COURT
Who the course if for: This one day course is
aimed at workers with basic money advice experience (e.g. those
who have attended Debt Counselling Modules I & II) and who wish
to progress to be able to assist debtors involved in the County
Court system

Aims:
- To provide participants with knowledge of County Court procedures for money debts
- To develop participants' confidence in assisting debtors who are being sued for money in the county court
Course Content:
- Jurisdiction and rights of audience
- Detailed examination of default procedure and enforcement methods in claims for money in the County Court
- Practical work to include completion of form N9A and consideration of the determination of means calculator
Course Materials:
- Course notes and handouts

This course looks at County Court procedure from the debtor's view point and is not suitable for those representing claimants or wishing to use the County Court to recover debts
