DEBT ADVICE IN A CRISIS

Who the course is for: A one day course for advisers with at least basic money advice knowledge (attendance on Modules I and II or similar). The course will look at priority debts in some detail and how to respond effectively to immediate threats to basic services.

Aims:

  • To identify effective strategies to deal with debt crisis within a limited time period

  • Threat of imprisonment
  • Threat of fuel disconnection
  • Postponing credit debt sanctions
  • Harassment by creditors and debt collectors
